About Me

Fat characters and writers don’t get enough representation. Add in being queer, and existing in a full-time job where I’m expected to be more normal, it’s no wonder I turned to writing to show the real me.

My passion for storytelling began in earnest by exploring fanfiction during quarantine. What started as writing missing moments for my favourite characters, soon turned into novel-length contemporary romances, stretching my writing skills past existing characters into rich, multi-faceted ones.

As someone on the asexual spectrum, it can be challenging to write about love and sex. Being both demi-sexual and demi-romantic means I don’t often develop feelings for another person unless I’ve found a deep connection with them. But by exploring the intricacies of love and relationships with my characters, I am learning how people fall in love. Because of my unique perspective and voice, I won the 2021 Good Sex Award – a body that rewards sex positivity, body diversity, and most importantly, consent – for fanfiction.

When not reading and writing, I love crafting, gardening, roller derby, and spending time with my cats. I’m a fat-positive person, plus-sized, and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and I enjoy slipping these little parts of myself into the books I write.
